Y'all. It's been HOT in Los Angeles. Angelenos can generally depend on pleasant temperatures year-round, so when something noteworthy happens (heat wave, rainstorm) we can't stop talking about it. Thankfully, we get such killer produce here that I truly believe that I could exist on avocados and heirloom tomates. This above breakfast is a riff on my favorite Cafe Gitane-inspired avocado toast. Slice an avocado and arrange atop a piece of sourdough toast. Sprinkle with sea salt and serve with a fried egg.
What have you been eating this summer?

I've been eating so many heirloom tomatoes, I made up a cold soup recipe from them ~ serve it with sliced avocado on top of course!

Yum, inspiration for this weekends breakfasts. Romesco over everything for me! Marinated tofu on the bbq is summer bliss for this vegetarian.
I meant to drop a line a while ago to tell you that I think we were in Abiqui, NM and at Ghost Ranch at the exact same time, and a couple weeks ago same thing happened with Ojai. We have similar travel vibes : )
This looks delicious! I have been eating a lot of great tomatoes recently, mostly on grilled bread with mozzarella cheese, prosciutto and olive oil, salt and pepper.
i honestly don't think i could ever tire of avocado toast. i like that you paired yours with a fried egg!

Yummy. Perfect for vegetarian like me. Thanks.
Eat foods filled with vitamins. Certain vitamins help in the production of collagen and also in the replication of cells. This enables the cells of the skin to remain thick and strong, ensuring that it withstands the negative effects of UV rays and heat.
