I have been obsessing about the model Arizona Muse ever since seeing her in this epic editorial in Vogue's February 2011 issue. Photographed by Peter Lindbergh and styled by Tonne Goodman, this is one of those spreads that I regularly look to for inspiration. I fell in love with the minimalist fashion, the modern architecture and the desert landscape. But the element that really got me was Arizona's refreshingly chic haircut. I knew this wavy bob had to be mine and after months of discussing with my friend and hair stylist Beatrice Valenzuela, we finally made the chop.

i just cut my own hair a similar length, but these photos of a.m. inspire me to go even shorter. hmmmmmmm....
one trick i've found for styling shorter hair is to make a couple loose, beachy curls on the side opposite your part, framing your face. really good for those moments when you're like, oh yeah i have no idea what to do with hair when i can't just knot up on top of my head anymore!

I too had been deliberating for about a year and recently had my hair cut to about the same length as yours is. So freeing! I've been so surprised at how much better I feel with it shorter - isn't it weird? I refer to it as "le fresh cut."
