We are deep in spring cleaning and strategizing mode at the gallery this week so not much time for blogging. I'm giving myself a five minute break to share this awesome breakfast I made this morning, inspired by a picture my friend Melissa sent me of a recent brunch she had in New York City: Scrambled eggs with oven roasted tomatoes and grilled halloumi cheese (have you ever tried this
What have you been eating for breakfast? Any new inspirations? Please share!
UPDATE: My smartypants friend Rachel has informed me that Halloumi is from Cyprus not Greece! SNAP!

Hej,
I'm from Hong Kong, even we didn't live there anymore but we still have some Hong Kong style breakfast sometime. We often have a veg. soup noodle with a lot of herb:) And It will be perfect if we have Dim Sum for breakfast.
P.S, I like to watch your cooking video.
I love halloumi, but I have never thought of adding it to breakfast. Now I certainly will as I plan to re-create this amazing sounding breakfast.
This morning I made apples with eggs. I admit that I was skeptical, but boy was it good! I used egg whites that I had leftover from a salad dressing I made last night and I added a little maple syrup as suggested. So good.

Heather, I love your blog, it's fabulous and bring a nice dose of relaxed glamour to my grad school day. Thank you for sharing your style and your home with us!
Also, halloumi is the best cheese. Ever.
Mmmm... breakfast. I've been loving thick (whole) greek yogurt with chopped dried figs and hazelnuts and toasted coconut flakes...
also yogurt with any kind of homemade compote in delicious!
A bowl of miso soup with some rice is perfect for cold mornings...
Yum, sissy!!!
your friend is right! halumi is from cyprus, but we eat it a lot also in greece. but mostly in greece our breakfast includes local honey and tahini. simple and fast. eggs are considered a really heavy breakfast around here. xx*
Lovely breakfast! My breakfast made by the hubby each morning is an egg, toast, and avocado with crushed red pepper and a little sea salt or oatmeal with cranberries and almonds. So delish!
