Marni for H&M Preview

_MG_9593

Like droves of other fashion obsessed ladies I have been waiting with bated breath for the debut of H&M's collaboration with Marni. The collection, which is beautiful and full of voluminous printed dresses and colorful geometric accessories, hits the shelves of H&M stores around the country this Thursday.

To say I was excited to preview and stage a photoshoot with the collection is an understatement. And after picking up the stunning samples from the showroom, I had trouble thinking about anything other than the clothes and how I envisioned styling the looks. There was a moment in a yoga class last week where I had to say to myself, "Stop thinking about Marni for H&M!!!"

Luckily, I got my ladies together for some consultation. Clare Vivier came over to check out the looks and talk styling. Jeana Sohn agreed to photograph me in my favorite places and doing my favorite things, all decked out in Marni for H&M, of course. When I mentioned the shoot to Beatrice Valenzuela, she said she wanted to do my hair and make up. Music to my ears!

We spent a full day shooting last week and we had a blast. And after moving through my day in the playful clothes and accessories, I felt completely inspired.

There are many must-have pieces here, but if I had to select favorites they would be: the straw hat, the silk pajama short set and the leggings. And the white sequin collar. And the silver sandals. Shall I go on?

Are you excited for Marni for H&M? What pieces are you lusting after?

Love! You look amazing--this turned out so well.
Bummed I am probably going to miss out on this collection as I be in NYC & will not be brave/ crazy enough to fight off those East coast gals for this gorgeousness.
Great job guys.

Heather! What an AMAZING spread. You look so vibrant in the line! Congrats! Seeing how you styled the pieces definitely changed my mind on a few of the pieces. Oh, and what shade nail polish are you wearing? So fresh.

Gorgeous!! You (that lipstick!), the clothes, the photos - loved the whole post. AND you made me want to get up early and go stand in line at H&M on Wednesday morning, despite my sciatica and mega-belly! :)

How fun! I hope you got to keep some! I want a couple of the jewelry items and the short dress in the brown batik print. I am not sure I am determined enough to show up early enough to get anything though!

Looks so great on you - beautiful. You're far more progressed on the knitted throw than me, I just started my first band of color, but am enjoying it a lot. Hope you got to keep some of the clothing.

Beautiful! What a fun collaboration. I love how the look and feel of Marni translated so effortlessly into your home and style. I hope I can find a way to get my hands on some of their gorgeous pieces!

w.a.n.t. You look lovely. I am originally from Tanzania in East Africa and the print in the last two photos/the bag looks very similar to a pattern in a local fabric called the 'kitenge'. The Tanzanian women make clothing and accessories from that fabric and look amazing. Marni must have had some inspiration from them.

I enjoyed the kitchen ensemble, conjures scenes of simpler times.
But if you ask about lust.. well then your make up is very much lust worthy. I love the way it's clearly done without over powering your natural features. The bold colors work with you not over you. Just lovely.
