Fall is truly the season of coziness and one of my favorite ways to get into the spirit is to venture outdoors for an afternoon of apple picking. While recently visiting my sister in San Francisco, she suggested we pile in the car and head about 60 miles north of San Francisco. Final destination: Gabriel Farm in Sebastopol, where they grow row upon row of both Fuji and Golden Delicious apple trees. We each went home with a box full of apples (15 lbs each!) and although I would have loved to put up some apple butter or make a cheddar, apple and bacon sandwich or two, these apples were perfect as is - juicy, crisp, tart and just sweet enough. We finished them in a matter of weeks.
So let me ask you this - how do you celebrate the season? What are your cozy rituals?

We need to go back, pronto!
Aww I love Gabriel Farm! It's one of my happy places. My partner and I went there just a few weeks ago and picked tons of Fuji apples, my favorite. I also love their apple pear juice. So yummy!

awwwwww turns out, Alex did want to finish that Apple!!
Sweet little webisode. Fall is all about the pumpkins for me! Fave rituals include eating lots of pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin spice muffins, and, of course pumpkin pie! Love to visit the pumpkin patch at local farm to pick pumpkins to carve into jack-o-lanterns and roast the seeds. Fall is definitely the coziest season in my book!
I had no idea apples were on trees
Brings back such amazing memories! Thanks for always visiting me and coming back, sissy, xoxo!

Do you mind if photos from your blog are re-posted elsewhere (credited and linked, of course). I'm putting together a post on capes and would love to include your fab cape in the collection of photos. Looked around the site to see if you allow this or not, but couldn't find anything.
Thanks!

Um...HOW DID I MISS THIS VIDEO?! You two (plus the man behind the camera) are the cutest. Makes me want to hightail it out to Gabriel Farm in a major way!
