I hope everyone had a great week! We were busy installing our Kimberly Brooks exhibition and getting the gallery ready to re-open after being closed to the public for August. And tonight is Taylor De Cordoba's big public opening for Kimberly's show (how beautiful are these pieces?) from 6-8PM - would love to see you there! Today is also the unofficial launch of the art season and I'm excited to walk through the galleries and see all the fall shows (for a great guide to the best of what's happening in the LA art scene, check out ForYourArt). Are you seeing any art or movies or anything interesting this weekend? Please share!

Also: I am truly grateful for all the positive comments, tweets, emails I received about the webisode. Thank you so much for watching and supporting! Means a lot.

How fun it would be to fly over for that opening!
My weekend thus far, in the very small country where I now live, has involved attending a talk held by two local authors, called "Where Are We [on the World Literature Scene]?".
This was followed by mojitos at a little bar where we sat under a fig tree, and a long discussion about Chinese culture at an old-skool joint, called The Captain.
Thanks for asking, and I hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend, too!
These are magnificent!
Wish I could have been there!!
I love that Kimberly continues to paint women and each show is a progression of this theme. These paintings are just beautiful!
I love the middle painting. Has an Edward Hopper feel to it.
