I worked all weekend but somehow managed to throw together a satisfying summery meal last night: grilled bread with feta, roasted red peppers and harissa, gazpacho (from Cookbook), grilled asparagus and salad with roasted peaches and tomatoes. What did you cook this weekend?

PS - The winner of the Beatrice Valenzuela Giveaway is Natalie of My Daily Toast! Congrats and thanks to all who entered. Check back on Wednesday for an old fashioned and gorgeous new giveaway.

Wow Heather! Everything looks so fresh, summery, and delicious. Lucky dinner guests.
Loving these long summer nights. Inspiring meal. My wheels are turning.
Last night Jacob and I grabbed some basil, beans, taters, tomatoes, and artichokes from our garden, and eggs from the hens next door, and made a nice salad nicoise. We finished with a rainier cherry crisp.

i made a few things for the first time, all turned out so yummy and summer perfect:
1) marsala poached figs over vanilla ricotta
2) mint+watermelon agua fresca
3) white wine sangria

The salad sounds amazing! I made roasted aubergine with greek yoghurt and pomegranate, watermelon + feta salad and a caramel macadamia nut baked cheesecake. Some food porn here :) http://hllokddo.com
