Just returned to Los Angeles after a restorative weekend celebrating my friend Joanna's birthday in Big Sur. We rented a beautiful house in the mountains with a perfect view of the ocean. The five of us (Jeana, Simone, Joanna, Melissa and myself) spent the weekend reading, cooking, watching movies (Nancy Meyers only, please) and venturing out to classic Big Sur haunts (listening to Bob Dylan while driving with the windows down on Highway 1 will never get old). But the best part of the whole experience was unwinding with my ladies in such an magical environment.

Big Sur is very dear to my heart as I grew up just south of there and I was married there at the Henry Miller Library.
The place you stayed looks amazing, where did you find it? I was just looking at places to rent in Big Sur and this place looks incredible.
