Big Sur with my Beloved + New Year

IMG_0222

Back from a magical mini-vacation in Big Sur and ready for an exciting new year ahead. I'm getting married, we are celebrating Taylor De Cordoba's five year anniversary - it's gonna be a big one. And I'm nervous/excited about everything. Also, I'll be rolling out some fun new projects on the blog, that I hope you'll enjoy.

My number one resolution is to have less stress in my life. And as a yoga teacher said during a class on New Year's Day: figure out what you need to do to nourish yourself. I love that.

Would love to hear your goals for the new year. Let's discuss.

As my yoga teacher said "It's the journey that's important, not the destination" - so take everything more slowly and enjoy the journey!

I went to yoga today. The teacher always seems to have such wise words. One of my resolutions is to use the amenities: free yoga at work and the hot tub and gym in my loft. Less stress is always good too. Thanks for letting me use your photo on my blog! Like I said, your blog is one of my favorites.

heather: that is a GREAT resolution and a beautiful picture of you two. I haven't officially made any resolutions but if I were, I think it would involve more writing and action and less worrying and stalling.

Hey Heather! I've been reading your blog weekly now and I'm enjoying it. I think it's always important to take in the moment - our perspective dictates our experience. And breathe (I'm sure this is already habit!). Take care, talk soon. :)

basically matching yours; being good to myself. one, two, three. and not fighting the pace of life: some things are slow, others rushing, so be it! besides, the picture of you made me smile this morning. thank you!

@kathypeck + @snacktive: love that. yoga teachers are so smart!!!!!

@meghan: welcome! please come back and visit more. happy you're reading :)

@amelia: another way of saying, "less warming up and more turning it up"???

@elauinc: it's all about the process.

@annton: why is being good to yourself so hard sometimes? have to remember to nourish.

Heather, this picture of you and Alex is dreamy. I have too many resolutions to list but the big ones are to finish the many projects I'm currenlty in the middle of working on and to be more patient and compassionate with myself. Happy New Year to everyone!!

Lovely Pic of you two!
Maybe another resolution to add to my list:
More Romance! Be loving.

A trip to Big Sur (or Ojai, or the desert...) sounds amazing right now...

I cannot believe TDC has been around for 5 years! Congrats! Cannot wait to see what you have in store for L.A. In Bloom.
Happy New Year :)

Lovely! Your blog is so simple and inspiring. I haven't made any official resolutions this year, the past few years my resolutions have been more like to do lists hovering over my head and nagging me to be better better better. I guess if I had to pick something it would be: ACCEPTANCE. Also: have more fun!

you two are too adorable. i resolve to simply enjoy this new(ish) life i am living in florida. more family time, less work but work that challenges me, not as much driving, and last but not least, more time to make things!
btw, your blog helps me feel slightly less homesick for l.a.!
